The film adaptation will end with a four-episode run.

It is being reported that Prime Video has renewed A League of Their Own for a final second season. The pickup is for a shortened run of four episodes that will serve as a conclusion to the series.
The dramedy premiered last August with an 8-episode run that garnered a positive reception from viewers and critics. Adapted from Penny Marshall's classic film, the show tells new stories of an entire generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball in the 1940s. This new ensemble of characters carve their own paths towards the field, both in the league and outside of it.

The first season was fantastic - always kept me wanting more so I am glad that they came back with (a limited) season 2. Women’s professional baseball needs to come back - I would be a season ticket holder. Many more like me out there.

Didn't even know this existed, but honestly, sports-centered drama is not my jam, except maybe something like MoneyBall. I am commenting because I consider is a good thing that Prime is concluding a series properly. So many series with good potential have ended on unsatisfactory cliffhangers.

I couldn't get into it, but I'm glad they are at least attempting to wrap it up for those who enjoy it.
