The new spin-off will follow Rick and Michonne's story.
October 12, 2023
AMC is readying the debut of its upcoming 'Walking Dead' spin-off featuring Rick and Michonne for early next year. The network has set a premiere month of February 2024 for the new series, which is titled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. A video teaser for the show was also released.
A continuation of Rick Grimes' story has been in the works since his departure from 'The Walking Dead' in Season 9. Originally, three movies featuring the character were announced in 2018, but all went quiet in the years that followed. It wasn't until 2022 that AMC revealed that the movies were being scrapped in favor of a limited series that would reunite him with Michonne.
In The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, Rick and Michonne find themselves in another world, built on a war against the dead - and ultimately a war against the living. In a situation unlike any they have ever experienced, can these two find each other and who they were? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?

I am still a dead head, are there some stale points, sure but worth the watch and the universe to continue. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Hope they continue these spin offs.

Honestly I think I am a walking dead head at this point. I liked Dead City but just really could not get into Daryl Dixon even thought I love his character. Rick? I don't even care about Rick at this point, unless they bring back Talking Dead. Is Talking Dead even talking about Daryl Dixon?

Dark city was too dark... Couldn't get into it. Now Darryl Dixon I thought was more like the old Walking Dead, except for those subtitles.

all these shows do well. Alhough. Destroying every haven is not needed to continue the storylines.

I got so sick of all the walking dead shows. I stopped watching a few years ago. Now they keep adding new shows, and actually showing Rick after all this time?

meh... Dead City and Dixon have been the same old same old.. bad guy does something bad.. they need to get revenge. Full of just stupid writing and illogical episodes.
Little hope for this....
The entire universe is a zombie.. dead but they keep it moving.

I am looking forward to it. For those who say the Walking Dead has gone stale, I would agree with the original franchise and maybe recent seasons of Fear. However, the Daryl Dixon spinoff is the best Walking Dead since the first two seasons. I also enjoyed Dead City. Hopefully, these new spinoffs will breathe new life into the franchise.
