The CW announced today that it has picked up Everyone Else Burns for a second season. The early renewal comes two days before the British comedy's stateside premiere. The show debuted in the UK earlier this year, garnering an overall positive reception from critics.
"Everyone Else Burns is a brilliant and bitingly funny series that is as much about family as it is about the end of days," commented Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW Network. "There is truly no other comedy on television like it, and we are thrilled to work alongside the immensely talented writers and producers to bring the uniquely hilarious Lewis family to The CW for another season."
The series follows the Lewises, a strictly religious family from Manchester who believe the world will end within the decade. Patriarch David is hoping the church will promote him. His wife Fiona longs for a life beyond sermons. Aaron is a model young believer — except his drawings feature the rest of his family burning in hell. And 17-year-old Rachel is about to fall for someone who could save her social life, but also damn her soul.

Season one is not horrible, but it's not what I'd classify as a "must see".
