Netflix has announced a premiere date for the third season of Sonic Prime. The animated series will make its return to the streaming service with new episodes in less than a month on January 11, 2024.

Based on the popular video game character, the show debuted last December and has aired two 8-episode seasons. It is not clear if the series will continue past Season 3, as producer WildBrain Studios bills it on their website as a 24-episode series. The upcoming season will see it reach that mark.

In Sonic Prime, an explosive battle with Dr. Eggman shatters the universe, leaving Sonic the Hedgehog to race through parallel dimensions to reunite with his friends and fix the world. With the fate of the strange new multiverse in his gloved hands, the 'Blue Blur' is on a journey of self-discovery and redemption.
