No Season 3 for the musical comedy.

Word is out that Apple TV+ has cancelled Schmigadoon! after two seasons. Co-creator Cinco Paul took to Instagram with the news, expressing sadness that there would be no Season 3 despite the fact that it was already written. Both seasons of the musical comedy were highly praised by both critics and viewers.
The half-hour series parodies iconic musicals, with Season 1 following a couple who try to reinvigorate their relationship by going on a backpacking trip, only to discover a magical town where everyone is living in a studio musical from the 1940s. Season 2 found the couple in Schmicago, set around the world of '60s and '70s musicals.

It was just too cute and it tried too hard. Good parody is hard to sustain.

yeah, S2 wasn't quite as good as S1, but this show was so irreverent and a lot of fun. I was hoping for Schmamma Mia.
