The action comedy will not return for a second season.
February 1, 2024
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled Obliterated after one season. The news comes two months after the action comedy released its 8-episode run to decidedly mixed reviews. The show did seem to attract a good number of viewers, as it was in the streamer's Top 10 list for six weeks.
The series follows an elite CIA special forces team who, after thwarting a deadly bomb threat in Las Vegas, celebrate with a bunch of booze and drugs. Unfortunately the party doesn't last long, as they discover that the bomb they deactivated was a fake. With the clock ticking, the intoxicated team must fight through their impairments and overcome their personal issues to find the real bomb before it goes off.

Too bad, I had a lot of laughs with it! And another laugh as I read here yet another idiot letting the world know he "only watched 30 minutes" - good for you mate. Now leave the people who know what this is about in peace and go whine somewhere else.

I thought it was a limited series so I am not surprised that there is no second season. I'm more surprised that they thought about it. I was like watching a train wreck, but couldn't look away. Just needed to see how it ended.

This show was good old fashioned fun. Would have loved more but it is no surprise the show was cancelled.
They struggled to maintain the premise through the eight episodes. How would you explain them getting hammered and going on a mission a second time.

I’m so disappointed. This was one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in a long time.

No Geronimo, I'm 70+ and I really loved it.
Plenty of action, plenty of laughs and plenty of good looking women :)

It was on the top of the streaming charts for many weeks but I can see this show being very expensive to make. Also, it didnt leave us with a cliffhanger. It was over the top funny and action packed and wrapped up nicely

Never heard about or watched this but just reading seems like it would be kinda hard to make multiple seasons about intoxicated people trying to find a bomb. Seems kinda like something for a bad movie.

It sounded like a good idea but was bad from the very first minute, I made it 30 minutes in and had to turn it off. It was weird confusing and all over the place. Any way, they will find some other crap show to replace it

One season was enough.

It seemed like this was doing well. Beyond sick of these streamers cancelling everything before they even get a chance.
