Fox announced today that Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars has been renewed for Season 2. The news comes six months after the competition series crowned its first winner, Smart Cups founder Chris Kanik, who received a $250,000 personal investment from Ramsay.

"Simply put, Gordon Ramsay has the golden touch in connecting with viewers and contestants across his impressive slate of shows," said Allison Wallach, President, Unscripted Programming, FOX Entertainment. "Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars was one of television's strongest unscripted series last year, and we're happy, and honored, to bring it back - with this season featuring a tantalizing twist -- as our special partnership with Gordon continues to thrive."

In the show, a selected group of food and drink industry professionals are brought together to take on challenges related to various aspects of running a food enterprise, including creating, marketing, and selling to customers. Ramsay, guest judges, and focus groups evaluate their progress along the way. The contestants must prove they have the drive, dedication, creativity, and talent to get Ramsay to put his money where his mouth is, by presenting the winner with an investment opportunity to take their idea to the next level.

Season 2 of Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars will see Ramsay take the show global, recruiting a new group of food and beverage industry professionals and put them through a multitude of challenges designed to showcase their skills, as he searches for the next great culinary entrepreneur.
