Season 5 will be the last chapter in Geralt's story.

Netflix announced today that The Witcher has been picked up for a fifth and final season. The news comes as production is beginning on Season 4, which the streamer has confirmed will film back-to-back with Season 5.
Best known for the popular series of video games, The Witcher originated as a series of novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. The TV show follows a monster hunter by the name of Geralt of Rivia, who is struggling to find his place in a world where people are often more wicked than beasts. When destiny unites him with a powerful sorceress and a young princess, the three must work to navigate the volatile Continent together.
"It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate Season of The Witcher with a stellar cast, including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia," said creator Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. "We're thrilled to be able to bring Andrzej Sapkowski's books to an epic and satisfying conclusion. It wouldn't be our show if we didn't push our family of characters to their absolute limit - stay tuned to see how the story ends."
The final two seasons will adapt the remaining of Sapkowski's books: Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow and Lady of the Lake.

Probably for the best really.
The went off the witcher rails from the beginning by veering away from lore and cannon and turning it into a propaganda machine for The Message.
I'm sure they should end it with 4, but I suspect contractual obligations and such prevent such things.

Given the troubadour and the "prince"... they have one chance left.

Yeah this show went woke and full on garbage fast, Henry leaving was super smart. They don't respect the original works or the game, they just wanted another franchise to race swap and force dei crap everywhere.

I am not excited by Hemsworth as The Witcher. Also, Freya Allen is already transitioning to movies with Planet of the Apes. If Cavill stayed, maybe the series would last longer. P.S. I thought season 3 was the weakest of them all.

Good decision. It was overly complicating itself with Cavill, i cant imagine it having any quality after changing to Hemsworth (who i think is a great actor, just too much BS with his appointment to the role, which i think taints the charm as well...) I will watch S4, but im not holding my breath for the Finale...
