No Season 2 for the novel-based dramedy.

It is being reported that The Other Black Girl has been cancelled by Hulu after one season. The news comes eight months after the dramedy released its freshman run, which was well-received by critics.
Produced by the Disney-owned Onyx Collective, The Other Black Girl is the first show produced by the content brand to be cancelled since its formation in 2021.
Based on the best-selling novel by Zakiya Dalila Harris, the series follows Nella, an editorial assistant who is tired of being the only Black girl at her company. Things around the office get interesting when Hazel is hired, but as Hazel's star begins to rise, Nella starts spiraling - leading her to discover something sinister going on at the company.

@Bob Woke is not about attacking white people. Reading a book won't change the fact that this is a BET show on a streaming platform their audience cannot afford. Went woke, went broke is a true statement, ask Season 2 of the show... Including race in the title of anything is race baiting. Enjoy your holier than thou life. The hero and villain are both Black in this show by the way.

"Go woke, go broke"? No, kid. The TV story just covered the events of the book it was adapted from. An awesome psychological thriller. But of course, racists can't read so....

@pat that's genuinely unreasonable. You seem to have some deep seated and childish insecurity about mature topics. A lot of you do. This show wasnt all about race. It was a relatable show to anyone which you would see if you self centered racists can stop assuming it's ATTACKING white people.

Brenda , woke shows are not well liked. And whiteness does not mean ratings. But ratings death are shows that are all about skincolor. they only make them for dei points. Often the characters are just stereotypes. This may have been decent but I do not want to watch any show that points out skin color.
