It looks like The CW won't be bringing back FBoy Island for a fourth season. The network saved the dating series from cancellation last year, but its first season at its new home doesn't appear to have been a successful one.

"FBoy Island was something that didn't work and kind of pointed to maybe being too young for broadcast," The CW's President of Entertainment, Brad Schwartz, told Deadline in an interview.

The series premiered on HBO Max in the summer of 2021 with a 10-episode run that ranked as the streamer's best reality series launch to date. It was renewed for Season 2 in 2022 but was cancelled later that year as part of a move by HBO to scale back on unscripted content. The CW likely had hopes that the show's existing streaming audience would find it on broadcast TV, but it appears its performance didn't live up to expectations.

Hosted by Nikki Glaser, FBoy Island features three women who travel to a tropical island to be joined by 24 men – 12 "Nice Guys" looking for love, and 12 "FBoys," who are just there to compete for a cash prize. The women navigate the dating pool together with the goal of finding a true love connection.
