The late night show is extended for two more years.

NBC announced today that The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon has been extended for an additional two years. The late night talk show had already been renewed through 2026 back in 2021.
"For nearly 30 years, Jimmy Fallon has brought laughter into the homes of millions and charmed audiences from the stages of 30 Rock," said Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBCUniversal Media Group. "It's been a privilege to witness Jimmy at the helm of 'The Tonight Show' and we're thrilled to see what innovations he and the incredible staff will deliver in the years to come at the network."
"Throughout his time at NBC on 'Saturday Night Live,' 'Late Night' and 'The Tonight Show,' Jimmy Fallon has demonstrated his extraordinary talent and been an integral part of our iconic comedy brand," said Frances Berwick, Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment. "We couldn't be more excited to continue our relationship with Jimmy and to see him carrying 'The Tonight Show' torch into the future."
Fallon hosts this seventh incarnation of 'The Tonight Show' on NBC. He has been the face of the storied franchise since 2014 when he took it over from Jay Leno. Airing weeknights at 11:35pm, the show features an opening monologue, comedy sketches, interviews with celebrities, and games that often include competitions between Fallon and his guests.

that makes 71 years as the show started in 1957. Jack parr , steve allen , jonny carson , are among the ain hosts.

I find the comments by all the sensitive Republican snowflakes to be amusing. Usual fare - they get a little hurt by someone who doesn’t agree with their right wing, GOP views and they cry online.
Here’s the reality though - Fallon isn’t funny. He takes up trends and tries to pass himself off as a comedic genius when all he really is is the manifestation of The Cool Hunt. He trends only because he says what the kids are saying, not because he’s talented.

I can honestly say that in the last ten years, I have watched more clips and full shows of Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson more than I have all late night shows combined since he's been off the air. And his shows are still funny now as they were when he was on.

Jimmy Fallon is a shill for the democratic party plain and simple its mostly not worth watching. His constant sucking up to guests is also super annoying.

I haven't sat and watched an entire offering of "Tonight Show" (or any of them) in ages. I have, however, watched many, many pieces of them via YouTube.

I speculate that, much like day time soap operas, these late night talk shows get renewed just because they are easy to make (and relatively inexpensive in comparison) ... I'm hard-pressed to actually find ANYONE that watches them. But.. maybe that's just my social circles.
