No Season 2 for the new Star Wars series.
August 19, 2024
It is being reported by Deadline that The Acolyte has been cancelled by Disney+ after just one season. The news comes a month after the Star Wars series wrapped its 8-episode freshman run.
The move does not come as a complete surprise, as the show's high production costs would need a sizeable audience to justify a renewal. And while its premiere did draw the platform's largest viewership for a new series this year, its early success was short-lived, and the full season numbers were estimated to be low compared to other shows in the Star Wars universe.
The Acolyte is set during the final days of the High Republic era, about 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I. In the show, a former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes. But in a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers, the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

Let's forget it ever existed.
Well the show went woke and it's now broke
When an African American thinks it's ok to tell people you must watch this or you are racist OR the reason no one is watching is because the lead is black.. go f yourself
The show was miserably terrible
I'll admit the last 1, maybe 2, episodes were slightly better than everything before them. But that's a horrible percentage.
The entire premise was flawed from the start.. If they wanted a series about a young Sith being trained as opposed to a young Jedi, they should have done that rather than throwing in the "witches" nonsense. Witches that die in a fire but aren't burned.. don't make ANY noise when dying.. and are incapable of dousing a small fire in their habitat. Thank heaven it never rained.. they all would have drown.
