It is being reported that Dead Boy Detectives has been cancelled by Netflix after just one season. The news comes four months after the supernatural dramedy released its 8-episode freshman run on the streaming service.

The show debuted in April, garnering praise from both critics and viewers. It spent, however, only three weeks in Netflix's English language Top 10, failing to reach the #1 spot.

Based on the DC Comics characters of the same name, the series follows Charles Rowland and Edwin Payne, two teenage ghosts who work alongside a clairvoyant to solve mysteries for their supernatural clientele — until a powerful witch complicates their plans.
