No Season 3 for the historical drama.

It is being reported that The Serpent Queen has been cancelled by Starz after two seasons. The news comes a month after the drama wrapped its 8-episode sophomore run, which again garnered high praise from critics and viewers.
Based on the book 'Catherine de Medici: Renaissance Queen of France' by Leonie Frieda, the series follows orphaned Catherine, who marries into the 16th-century French court at the young age of 14. But after realizing her husband is in love with another woman, her future is suddenly uncertain. Catherine finds those who she can trust - both within her personal entourage of courtiers and members of the royal court - while outmaneuvering anyone who underestimates her determination to survive.

Yet, they keep that smut driven Mary & George. I loved the interaction between the characters and how Catherine was always one step ahead of everyone. It will be missed.

I’m really thinking of canceling STARZ. This was a great series and as usual STARZ canceled it. You suck STARZ!!!!

This doesn’t surprise me one bit. This is a typical move by Starz when it comes to these types of shows one to two seasons and thats it.

The first season was great. I will not watch season 2 until Outlander returns. Add/drop Starz twice a year, because most of their stuff sucks!

Another good reason we cancelled Starz a few months ago. When Outlander returns we'll pay for it again and then cancel it once that's been watched.

Very good tv show. I will miss it. She was quite a forceful queen , which earned her enemies. But the religious wars dod not start under her, that says it all .
