CBS announced today that NCIS: Origins has been given a full season pickup. Five additional episodes have been ordered to bring its total to 18 for the season. The news comes four episodes into the drama's freshman run, which is off to a solid start for the network.
A spinoff prequel of NCIS, the series is set in 1991, following Leroy Jethro Gibbs at the beginning of his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office. There he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks.

I grew up in Oceanside. Graduated OHS in 82. Finally left in 87.
They're not far off on some things. Way off on others. Love to see them show some very familiar haunts.

I admit I'm still getting used to this show. I realize "Gibbs" is inherently a primary character, but I'm finding curiosity and interest in all the other characters in this new series and want to see those characters developed, too (which seems to be slowly happening).
