Netflix announced today that A Man on the Inside has been renewed for a second season. The good news comes three weeks after the comedy released its 8-episode freshman run, which has placed in the streamer's Top 10 TV list each week since its debut.

"We are thrilled to make another season of A Man on the Inside, starring young up-and-comer Ted Danson," said creator Michael Schur, who also worked with Danson on NBC's 'The Good Place.' "From our partners at Netflix and Universal TV to the writers, cast, and crew, it's a truly exceptional team of talented and lovely people, with one notable exception (young up-and-comer Ted Danson, who's kind of a nightmare)."

The series stars Danson as Charles, a retired widower who answers an ad from a private detective to help solve a mysterious theft at the Pacific View Retirement Residence in San Francisco. To accomplish this, he goes deep undercover by posing as a new resident at the living community. Along the way he starts to build heartwarming new friendships and a stronger bond with his daughter.

Look for Season 2 of A Man on the Inside in 2025.
