The workplace comedy will return for Season 2.
January 14, 2025
NBC announced today that St. Denis Medical has been renewed for a second season. The pickup comes six episodes into the comedy's freshman run, which is off to a solid start as the network's #1 new show of the season in the 18-49 demographic. Since its November premiere, the show has reached over 21 million total viewers across all platforms.
The series is a mockumentary about an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital, where the dedicated doctors and nurses do their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity.

This show is just one trainwreck after another. It's not funny to watch people make to worst decisions over and over again.

Great news!! I rarely watch new shows until the first season wraps due to mid season cancelation disappointment. I gave this an early try and it is laugh out loud funny and! must see TV for me!

It's not horrible, but frankly these "workplace documentary" sitcoms where we take the viewpoint of a camera crew filming a dysfunctional workplace have just about run their course. It's become very predictable.
"St. Denis" has its moments, but not all of its cast stand out like they did on "The Office". The jokes would have been funny years ago, but we've seen most of them by now.

I tried to get into it. I just couldn't. It's just not my cup of tea. Reminds me of The Office, which I couldn't get into no matter how many times I tried (due to coworkers telling me how funny it was)
Glad it has its audience.
