The comedy ends after four seasons.

Word is out that Apple TV+ has cancelled Mythic Quest after four seasons. The news comes two weeks after the workplace comedy wrapped its now-final run on the streaming service. The final episode of Season 4 was not crafted to be a series finale, so it will be getting an update next week to give fans a more suitable ending.
"Endings are hard. But after four incredible seasons, Mythic Quest is coming to a close. We're so proud of the show and the world we got to build — and deeply grateful to every cast and crew member who poured their heart into it," said series creators and executive producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney. "To all our fans, thank you for playing with us. To our partners at Apple, thank you for believing in the vision from the very beginning. Because endings are hard, with Apple's blessing we made one final update to our last episode — so we could say goodbye, instead of just game over."
Mythic Quest is set in a video game development studio, where a dedicated team of developers have created the biggest multiplayer video game of all time. But in a workplace focused on building worlds and creating heroes, the hardest battles aren't in the game — they happen in the office.

While I did enjoy the show, it didn't seem to be going anywhere. This is probably for the best.

About right. The series was starting to spin its wheels.

That's disappointing. I really loved this show and the quirky cast. It was the kind of show that I found enjoyable as a gamer but it was easy for even people with no interest in games to enjoy it as a workplace comedy. Hopefully the updated ending will be satsifying.

This was kinda the way things go. Main character having a baby usually kills a show. And they were getting too far away from its roots, lost a lot of gamer humor.

It is nice to see a network give a show a chance to alter an episode for closure. It does not happen often. Life on Mars, the American version, did it very quickly when it got canceled and it was brilliant. Thank you, Apple+.
