No Season 2 for the Toni Collette drama.

It is being reported by TV Line that Prime Video has cancelled The Power after one season. The news isn't too surprising, as it has been nearly two years since the drama wrapped its 9-episode run on the streaming service.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Naomi Alderman, the series is set in a world where teenage girls begin developing a new organ that generates electricity. They soon discover they can awaken this power in older women as well. Before long nearly every woman in the world has this ability, which changes everything.

This is what happens when you introduce ads for a paid subscription service. People access your content via other means and your official viewing numbers go down...

It's a pity they only adapted half of the book. Worth reading it, as it's (as usual) much better than the show...

Aww bummer. I looked this up just a couple weeks ago to see what happened to it and if S2 was in production. Clearly not by this news. shame, another unique show bites the dust.
