No Season 2 for the lifeguard drama.
May 7, 2025
It is being reported by Deadline that Rescue: HI-Surf has been cancelled by Fox after one season. The news comes a month after the drama wrapped its freshman run on the network.
Premiering last fall, the show garnered a respectable audience but was not a breakout hit like fellow Fox drama 'Doc.' It averaged 2.8 million total viewers, ranking fifth out of the seven dramas on the network this season, while ranking third among adults 18-49. Overall the show was the season's 10th most-watched new broadcast drama out of 12.
Set on the North Shore of O'ahu, the series follows a team of dedicated and heroic first-responders who spend their days saving lives in the difficult and often life-threatening conditions of Hawaii's Seven Mile Miracle - the most famous and dangerous stretch of coastline in the world.

I love the show so tired of the tv networks cancelling all the good shows that I wish they would cancel all of the realty tv shows

I didn't know whether this was getting a second season as it could've gone either way but now I know.

Big disappointment. I guess if it isn't a cop show, or reality t.v. it just won't fly. What a shame.

What?!? My whole family watches this show. It was a nice change to see a show set in Hawaii that wasn't about solving crimes :(

This is upsetting news, as I grew to really like the show. I figured it would be coming back for sure.
