The Hulu revival debuts in August.
June 1, 2025
Hulu has announced that King of the Hill is coming back for its 14th season on August 4. It has been over two years since the streaming service ordered a reboot of the iconic animated series that brings back co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, as well as the original voice talent.
The show debuted in 1997, airing a total of 259 episodes across 13 seasons. During that time it received critical acclaim and accolades, including an Emmy Award in 1999 for Outstanding Animated Program. It was also named as one of Time Magazine's greatest TV shows of all time.
Set in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas, King of the Hill follows the life of Hank Hill, a propane gas salesman; his wife Peggy, local Boggle champ and substitute teacher; and their 13-year-old son, Bobby, who defies any expectation his father had for a son. Hank's friends, along with Peggy's friends, help the Hills navigate a changing world.
The Season 14 revival picks up several years after we last saw the Hill family - Hank and Peggy are now retired and return to a changed Arlen after years of working in Saudi Arabia; and Bobby is 21 and living his best life while navigating adulthood as a chef in Dallas.

John Redcorn
The actor who voiced John Redcorn died this week, murdered outside his home. He also played the hilarious native American on Parks and Rec.
Rest in peace, Mr. Gribble.
