It's a two-season pickup for the animated comedy.

Hulu announced today that King of the Hill has been renewed for Seasons 16 and 17. The streamer has ordered 20 new episodes that will be split across the two seasons. The news comes ahead of the animated comedy's 15th season, which is slated for sometime in 2026.
The show debuted in 1997, airing a total of 259 episodes across 13 seasons. During that time it received critical acclaim and accolades, including an Emmy Award in 1999 for Outstanding Animated Program. It was also named as one of Time Magazine's greatest TV shows of all time.
Set in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas, King of the Hill follows the life of Hank Hill, a propane gas salesman; his wife Peggy, local Boggle champ and substitute teacher; and their 13-year-old son, Bobby, who defies any expectation his father had for a son. Hank's friends, along with Peggy's friends, help the Hills navigate a changing world.
The Season 14 revival picked up several years after we last saw the Hill family - Hank and Peggy are now retired and return to a changed Arlen after years of working in Saudi Arabia; and Bobby is 21 and living his best life while navigating adulthood as a chef in Dallas.

I did watch the original series, and rewatched it in anticipation of the new season.
Go cry more about it. I'll enjoy the next few seasons while you're wiping tears away.
Also that country is not new to propane. That's why they had a Saudi propane company in the reboot in the first place. This reboot fails the original series.
@Rufus, I get what you're saying, but when you consider it's more about the propane than the location, it makes sense. He got to introduce propane to a foreign land. Doing that is definitely a Hank Hill thing to do.
@Matt, I agree that it's better now than the latter seasons of the original. New ideas to explore with a lot of cultural changes.
@Bob, it wasn't just deaths, but they decided to re-voice some of the ethnic characters, particularly Khan, because of cultural reasons. But yes, it's sad we lost some of our friends over the years. Wish they could have all been here for this to see the show become successful again.
Glad it's renewed for a few seasons. I loved having it back.
