Paramount+ has announced that Chopper Cops is coming back for a second season on June 17. The docuseries has another 10 adrenaline-fueled episodes on tap for Season 2, matching the length of its freshman run in 2024.
The series features Marion County Sheriff's Department's state-of-the-art helicopters and the elite police pilots who fly them. Known as Air One, these chopper cops operate 24/7 and are equipped with high-tech infrared cameras and augmented-reality mapping capabilities that allow police on the ground to see in the dark and locate criminals. Air One's heart-pounding stories are told through in-chopper cameras, radio transmissions and first-person interviews with law enforcement.
The streamer is promising higher stakes and faster action in Season 2, which will feature high-speed pursuits of homicide suspects through swamps, the hunt for a wildfire arsonist, and more edge-of-your-seat missions.
