National Geographic has announced that Tucci in Italy has been picked up for a second season. The news comes a month after the acclaimed docuseries aired its five-episode freshman run. Another five episodes have been ordered for Season 2.
In the show, actor Stanley Tucci travels across Italy to explore the country's breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and the complex connections with its food that have shaped each region's distinct culture. In his adventures, Tucci meets with locals, chefs, fellow foodies, fishermen, artisans and even cowboys to unearth hidden gems and untold stories. Along the way, he immerses himself in the stories, passion, and traditions that have shaped Italy's most iconic dishes.

I watched the last season and somewhat enjoyed it. Tucci is a very engaging host. But the endless gushing over the various restaurants got too monotonous for me after awhile. Not to mention hungry for dishes that I will never have a chance to eat!

This show makes me hungry. Stanley goes to various places and eats good food. he uses the good to mirror the area more than show you places through out the area. Stanley is a great likeable host too.
