No Season 2 for the medical drama.

It is being reported that ABC has cancelled Doctor Odyssey after just one season. The news comes just over a month after the medical drama wrapped its 18-episode freshman run.
Before today, the show was the only ABC drama with its fate for next season still undecided. But that changed when news spread that the cast's contracts are set to expire on Monday and will not be picked up.
The series follows Dr. Max Bankman, the new on-board doctor for a luxury cruise ship where the staff works hard and plays harder. It's all hands on deck as Max and his small but capable medical team navigate unique medical crises and each other while miles from shore.

Too bad. Really enjoyed the show - something you didn’t have to worry about, just relaxing. Loved enjoying a cruise.

I agree--when did Joshua Jackson forget how to act?? I was like, is this the same person who was awesome in Fringe??? This could have been a really fun show because of Jackson and Johnson, but there was no depth to the Bankman's character--and the two side nurses??? Get rid of them! One was a robot with only one facial expression. Maybe the show could have survived if they had a better supporting cast. I loved "The Love Boat" because the cast was terrific and all had some great chemistry with one another.

I did like this show at first, but after while no. I wanted Avery to be with Max at first, but then she was so mean to him! I hated how she treated him. I did not like her. I did not like the 3some. I gave it a chance, and if they had a 2nd season, I wouldn't watch it.

This was a great show got to see Don Johnson having fun on the boat as the captian. And the staff working very hard on the boat it was a very good show something differance. ABC should have gamble with this showThis show did everything right nothing like the Love boat from the 1970's. this show was better! ABC think twice this show will do something people will watch this show. this show has a great cast it's a shame that after 16 eps the show is over.

I liked this show! Why keep dumb stuff and get rid of interesting shows that are a little bit different? Bummer!
