No Season 2 for the medical drama.
July 2, 2025
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled Pulse after one season. The news comes three months after the medical drama released its freshman run. The show was the streamer's first original medical procedural, but it ultimately garnered mixed reviews and only spent two weeks on the Nielsen streaming charts.
The series follows Danny Simms, a third-year medical resident who is unexpectedly promoted when Maguire Hospital's respected chief resident, Dr. Xander Phillips, is suspended. As Danny and Phillips try to figure out where they stand, an approaching hurricane is worsening, creating an onslaught of trauma cases. Maguire goes into lockdown and the rest of the ER is left to process the fallout of Danny and Phillips' relationship.

I enjoy the show. It really ended on the Hurricane cliff hanger episode. I will say that the cast of this show was huge. Although as talented as they were, they were too many people, which led to a lot of plot confusion.

I could not even go through the first episode entirely, the political correctness was so blatantly in my face, and then the speaking Spanish on an American tv show? That's it! Super happy got canned and I hope they gonna have more uproar towards this type of garbage insulting our intelligence,I'm done w/ woke bs. Learn to code Hollywood/ television city!

I was sold on this show when I read the write up about it but the whole show is a mess. I thought the show was about a storm hiting Miami then it was more about a sexual assault in which didn’t make any sense in the end. Only got to episode 4. Had enough by then.
