Netflix announced today that Untamed has been renewed for a second season. Coming less than two weeks after its debut, the news is a bit of a surprise, as the show was originally billed as a limited series.
"I am absolutely thrilled that we get the chance to bring another season of Untamed to life," said star Eric Bana in a statement. "The response to Season 1 has been a testament to the incredible effort by our crew to deliver something truly unique. I can't wait to take Kyle on his next journey. Massive thanks to Netflix, John Wells Productions, Warner Bros. Television and our fans."
The first season stars Bana as Kyle Turner, a special agent in an elite branch of the National Parks Service who works to enforce human law in nature's vast wilderness. After a brutal death in Yosemite National Park, the investigation sends Turner on a collision course with the dark secrets within the park, and even in his own past.
Agent Turner will be back in Season 2 to investigate a whole new mystery in a different national park. And like in Season 1, the park will play a significant role in Turner's emotional frame of mind.

Imdb said it was a mini series. I suppose they change their mind and made it into a series.

Four episodes in, can't stay awake.........booooooooring. I read somewhere that they were calling it the new Yellowstone. That couldn't be further from the truth. This is more like Dark Winds, but severely drawn out. We haven't given up yet and hope it gets better, but not holding out much hope. It's too bad, great actors.

It's good. Worth the time to watch, and with season 2 coming, we'll get another really good season.

Started watching tonite - two episodes. Had my husband and I hooked within the first 10 minutes. Happy to hear it will be back.
