Paramount+ wants more of the spy thriller.

Paramount+ announced today that Lioness has been renewed for a third season. The news comes 10 months after the espionage thriller wrapped its 8-episode sophomore run.
Originally titled 'Special Ops: Lioness,' the show debuted in 2023 and set a new record as the streamer's most-watched worldwide series premiere on launch day with nearly six million total viewers in its first week across Paramount+ globally and a linear preview on the Paramount Network.
The series follows Joe, a young Marine who is trying to balance her personal life with her professional life as the tip of the CIA's spear in the war on terror. The Lioness Program enlists an aggressive Marine Raider named Cruz to operate undercover alongside Joe among the power brokers of State terrorism in the agency's efforts to bring down the organization from within before the next 9/11 can occur.

Thanks for the renewal info. This one of my favorite shows. Maybe I'll be patient enough to not watch S3 one episode at a time and wait for all the episodes to be available at the end so I can binge watch instead.

Great show, but it risks getting too wrapped up in its stories. The plots of the first two seasons were different in the particulars, but thematically were very similar. The rogue agent leading a rogue group of operators often going off book only works for so long before becoming repetitive and predictable.

Good show with self-contained stories. Season two was almost as good as season one. My one negative is Zoe Saldana's family. Keep them off screen or kill them off and let Joe go wild.Taylor Sheridan has too many characters in his shows. Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly and the actress who plays Cruz are all fantastic.
