At New York Comic Con this weekend, it was announced that X-Men '97 has been renewed for a third season. The pickup is an early one, as it was also revealed today that Season 2 of the animated series isn't expected to release until summer 2026.

The show debuted in early 2024 with a 10-episode run that served as a continuation of the storylines from 1992's 'X-Men: The Animated Series.' Set following the presumed death of X-Men leader Professor X, a band of mutants now face new challenges as they use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them.
