No Season 4 for the sequel series.
December 14, 2025
It is being reported that Prime Video has cancelled Leverage: Redemption after three seasons. The news comes six months after the sequel series wrapped its now-final run. The Amazon series aired its first two seasons on Amazon Freevee before moving to Prime Video for Season 3.
The new iteration of 'Leverage' followed Sophie the grifter, Parker the thief, Eliot the hitter, and Alec the hacker, who have watched the world change since their last job eight years ago. It seems that the rich have an even easier time becoming richer and the powerful always get their way. To address the new landscape, the team finds new blood in a redemption-seeking corporate lawyer and Alec's foster sister who is adept at computers and robotics.

Now this totally sucks! Loved the new Leverage, even though the absence of Hardison in most episodes and the killing off of Nate made it less interesting, it was still awesome with the other three original cast members!!!! I know there were issues with Timothy Hutton, but I so want all the original cast to return to a reboot of the original series!!! Leverage is tv at its finest to us!

I didn’t watch the reboot (not worth it without Timothy Hutton) but to anyone who likes shows like this, check out Hustle if you haven’t already. It’s a British grifter show that came before Leverage. Not as quirky but much smarter. Eight seasons available on Amazon Prime, but like most shows the first 3 seasons are the best.

The original "Leverage" was a good show back in the beginning. But even the original series morphed towards the end and became less appealing. Despite the recurring characters, "Redemption" had little to do with the original series and it suffered in comparison.
I never saw the reason for this series. Probably it was the need for Amazon to create low-cost original content for Freevee. With Freevee essentially being absorbed into the Amazon Prime mothership there was a lot less need for it.
I agree

Recasting Nate would've been the way to go. Without Nate, you lose a ton of backstory, motivation, and the head of the found family.

Of course it was canceled, and honestly it's surprising that it lasted as long as it did without Hardison. It's exactly as some have said, it was not as good as the original, not sharp, not witty, or visually entertaining as Leverage.
The reason is Hardison. Losing him, cost the show. Hardison provided the heart of the team. You lose that, you lose everything. He was sweet, compassionate, clever, and funny. It's a shame that Hodge was not available enough. Also, it was a mistake to not recast Nate. I understand there were issues with Timothy Hutton, but many times recasting solves that problem, and could've here. While Mr. Wilson provided some comedy, he's not Hardison or Nate. Noah Wyle is amazing and a great addition; it was not enough. Now if Hardison were there with Harry Wilson-like the initial epidode, that would've been great.

That's a shame. All the way back to the original series, this was a fun show to watch. I was looking forward to more seasons.

Jolly good for them that it lasted four seasons. We gave it a fair shot in season one and it was such a weak sauce version of the original, we stepped away.

Not shocking. It was pretty obvious they were out of ideas.
