HGTV is bringing back Castle Impossible for a second season. The news comes six months after the unscripted series wrapped its 8-episode freshman run, which garnered 14.1 million viewers across linear and streaming.

The series follows Daphne and Ian Fig, whose lives change forever when Daphne unexpectedly inherits a 500-year-old castle in Lesigny, France from her grandfather. Together the couple tackle a seemingly endless list of projects as they attempt to breathe new life into the historic estate.

After a year of tireless work on the sprawling property, Season 2 will focus on the revival and sustainability of the historic Chateau de Lesigny, with the Figs expanding their wedding and event businesses to finance the much-needed renovations. In the eight new episodes, Daphne and Ian will work on pivotal rooms for their businesses including a honeymoon suite in the dove tower, a tea salon, a dungeon tavern and a library, in addition to restoring the chateau's gatehouse as a residence for Daphne's granny.
