The crime drama will be back this fall.
March 5, 2026
ABC announced today that High Potential has been renewed for a third season. The early pickup comes with five episodes remaining in the drama's sophomore run. It makes sense to bring the show back, as it continues to be one of the network's strongest performers.
Based on the popular French series "Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI)," the series stars Kaitlin Olson as a single mom with an exceptional mind that gives her a knack for solving crimes. This unconventional approach leads to an unexpected partnership with a seasoned detective who does his work by the book.
Look for Season 3 of High Potential this fall as part of the 2026-2027 season.

Great show. Really like it a lot. The only change i would make it to slowly change her clothes into more adult ware.

Love this show. Sujata makes it for me
I love that he and Olsen gat along so well without the contrived animosity of so many shows like this.

Season one was decent, but now it feels very repetitive. I think it does well because there are only a handful of drama TV shows on broadcast TV anymore.
Like Steve said below, Kaitlin gets annoying quickly. Don't understand her fashion choices either. Is she a single mom hooker?

Never could get into this one. I watched a few episodes, but Kaitlin Olson's character is just too annoying, always talking all the time.

This show is like a video laxative.... goes through you and leaves nothing behind.
