CBS announced today that CIA has been picked up for a second season. The news comes one month into the drama's freshman run, which has so far improved its time period viewership by 39% from last fall.
The series follows by-the-book FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman, who is loaned out to a clandestine CIA/FBI task force, where he teams up with secretive and roguish CIA Agent Colin Glass. When this odd couple is assigned to work out of the CIA's New York Station, they must learn to work together to investigate cases and criminals posing threats on U.S. soil, finding that their differences may actually be their strength. With Bill learning the rules of this murky world on the fly, Colin leads him deeper into spy games where only one thing is clear - their work keeps America safe, even if no one will ever know what they did in the shadows.
Look for Season 2 of CIA as part of the 2026-2027 television season.

This is not a good show. Very blah. The FBI shows they canceled were better shows. Guess they are keeping this on to prove in their minds they made the right decision in canceling the other shows.

I've been disappointed with this show so far. Just hasn't had the same "spark" that the FBI trilogy has/had. My family is willing to give it the rest of the season, but if it hasn't found its footing by then I doubt we'll be watching it next season.

I have only watched 1 episode and I was not impressed. I will continue to watch to see if it gets better through the first season.

Have to agree with Geek. This is not a good show at all. Bad acting all around. Bad plots also. When would an FBI and CIA agent allow an assassin to cook dinner for them. I know it is TV but come on. I guess regular TV is really hurting. Enjoy if you watch.
