No Season 2 for the workplace comedy.
March 27, 2026
It is being reported that DMV has been cancelled by CBS after one season. The news comes with six episodes remaining in the comedy's freshman run. The series finale is scheduled to air on May 11.
The show got off to a decent start last fall, but ratings did taper off over the course of the season, leaving it as one of the network's lowest rated scripted originals.
Based on the short story by award-winning author Katherine Heiny, the half-hour series is set at a busy DMV office, where a crew of lovable misfits tackle bureaucracy, bad attitudes, and busted printers — all with minimum wage and maximum sarcasm.

I really enjoyed this show - The Characters really were starting to grow on me - I loved all their quirks!! So sad to hear this news!

The Neighborhood gets 8 seasons. 5 or 6 were good. DMV is reminiscent of Taxi. Shout out to T for noticing that. I really enjoyed this show. I am sure Amy Reisenbach will find something dull to replace it. Go to CBS.com and tell them how pissed we are. It did not work with Blue Bloods, maybe we can save this. A lot cheaper to make, I am sure. Screw CBS.

This show was great. Fun quirky characters. Very reminiscent of a modern day TAXI. I’ll miss it. I’ll probably watch this season a few times in the future. I’ve worked with Tim Meadows before. Great dude. Always enjoy his work.

Series would have kept improving.. maybe someone else will pick it up and trim off some of the dud characters

Really??? I thought this was the perfect amount of funny and mindless television watching. Tim Meadows, as usual, is funny, and Tony Cavalero--hillarious! I'm pissed!

This is horrible news. Funny cast with silly stories to kill 22 minutes. Way better than every comedy on tv right now, with the exception of Ted. Tim Meadows alone should be on tv every day. CBS sucks. They cancel everything and give us cheap rip-offs of other shows. Bunch of generic crap police/ federal agents shows where the scripts can be recycled from show to show.

Kinda numbed about this. It was mindless, but it was fun.

I wonder if we'll find out what's actually wrong with Colette's feet before the final episode.

.. kinda liked it. More character than setting which is rare today. AND it wasn't a family house, cop show, law show, etc. It was a "slow burn" though. So not surprising people didn't immediately "get" it.
