NBC announced today that The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins has been renewed for a second season. The news comes three weeks after the show wrapped its 10-episode freshman run, which ranked as the #1 new comedy of the 2025-2026 season in the 18-49 demographic.
The series stars Tracy Morgan as Reggie Dinkins, a disgraced former football player who is trying to rehabilitate his public image with help from award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin, who moves into his mansion to shoot a documentary about the athlete. Reggie also must confront the ghosts of his past if he wants to earn back the admiration of his fans and the respect of his family.

I never could get into this show despite watching several episodes. Tracy Morgan playing his standard bombastic and doltish character is more of a supporting character than a lead. And I've watched several series now starring the adult Daniel Radcliffe and I've discovered I just don't like his acting.

Yup. Finniest show on NBC since 30 rock ended. That isn't really an endorsement. 30 Rock sucked too.

While I'm certain the 10 people that actually watched this show are elated the rest of us are left wondering what the heck the people at NBC are thinking. This show was not funny. The acting was unbearable to watch and true to form Tracy Morgan was just awful. . He better hope the powers to be never decide to release the material he has been blackmailing them with to keep him employed.

Funniest show on NBC since 30 Rock ended! Thrilled it got renewed! Love the rapid jokes and cutaway gags while it still plants seeds of internal character conflict. Excellent news!

I am so shocked that this got renewed!! Tracy is unwatchable, but I did give ep 1 a chance and it was unfunny. I went ahead and recorded the entire season, expecting to delete when it was not picked up lol, the joke is on me. I'll try a couple more episodes just to see how this got picked up. Le sigh.
