No Season 2 for the sequel series.

It is being reported by Deadline that Spartacus: House of Ashur has been cancelled by Starz after a single season. The news comes three months after the historical drama wrapped its 10-episode freshman run. Word is that producer Lionsgate Television is making efforts to shop it to other networks.
A sequel to the 2010 series 'Spartacus,' the show follows Ashur, who has clawed his way to power, owning the same ludus that once owned him. But ruling a band of merciless gladiators is child's play compared to surviving the savage world of Roman politics - a cutthroat game in which betrayal isn't a sin, it's currency. He flips tradition on its head by unleashing Achillia, a fierce and powerful gladiatrix eager to prove herself worthy in a man's world. Together, they ignite a new kind of spectacle that shocks, disrupts and offends the elite with every drop of blood.

I also liked Ashur in the original series, but it WAS weird how they brought him back. But I started to like this after a couple episodes. Was hoping for at least one more season. But that might be because of what Network it's on, Sta...something?

Aww that sucks, felt like a slow start but by the middle I was hooked, ended up really enjoying it.
Booo to Starz for ditching the best thing on their books.

Is anyone really that suspired that this DEI attempt failed miserably? I had no problem with Ashur during the original series, but this shows didn't need to exist nor it should've for multiple reasons, anyone wanting to defend its existence is just plain delusional.

This show had the Spartacus vibe. Alternate reality from the same people who made the originals. This is why nobody subscribes to Starz. I signed up for a free trial and dumped it after watching Ashur. The only show left is Kanan. Netflix should grab this show. Damn shame!

I thought it was weird for them to resurrect Ashur of all people, but I actually ended up enjoying this show. Too bad they didn’t give it a chance. Killing Caesar off was odd, but like I said, they resurrected Ashur. So why not just totally ignore history?
