Netflix announced today that Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black has been renewed for a fourth season. The news is surprising, as the streamer had previously stated that the drama would be ending after Season 3.

"Beauty in Black is back for Season 4 and the Bellarie family's story is far from finished," said Perry. "There was so much more I wanted to explore and I'm grateful I get to keep telling this story. To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world. More episodes are on the way!"

The series launched in 2024, with its first season spending seven weeks in Netflix's Global Top 10, reaching #1 in 28 countries. Season 2, which concluded in March, spent six weeks in the Global Top 10 and reached #1 in 17 countries. Season 3 has yet to set a premiere date.

The show follows Kimmie, a stripper struggling to make a living after her mother kicked her out of the house. But her fate takes a turn when she crosses paths with Mallory, the head of a cosmetics dynasty, and her wealthy, dysfunctional family, who are also behind a devious trafficking scheme.
