Netflix announced today that Blue Eye Samurai has been renewed for a third and final season. It's an early pickup of sorts, as the animated series has aired only one season since its debut in 2023. We do have a time frame for the remaining seasons now, though, as the streamer confirmed that Season 2 will arrive in January 2027, with Season 3 following in 2028.
Set in Edo-period Japan, Blue Eye Samurai follows Mizu, a mixed-race master of the sword who lives a life in disguise seeking the deliverance of revenge against those who made her an outcast. In the upcoming second season, Mizu's bloody quest continues in London, where she faces new friends, old foes, and her own demons. In Japan, Akemi and Taigen navigate Edo Castle under a dangerous new shogun, while Ringo searches for a new purpose.
