No Season 2 for the Nicolas Cage drama.
September 4, 2026
It is being reported that Prime Video has cancelled Spider-Noir after just one season. The news comes three months after the live-action drama released its 8-episode freshman run.
The series got off to a decent start following its May premiere, opening at #2 on the Nielsen U.S. Top 10 charts. But its initial buzz was short-lived, as it fell out of the Top 10 fairly quickly. Reviews were mostly positive, with praise coming from both critics and viewers. The show also picked up an impressive 11 Emmy nominations.
Spider-Noir stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a seasoned, down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York. After a deeply personal tragedy, he is forced to grapple with his past life as the city's one and only superhero.

Im not going to miss this show at all. I think it was a good CONCEPT that could have been done up better but I didnt agree with old azz Nick Cage playing the spider and also the pace moved WAAAAAAY too slow.

As an average view I can say that most people found this a little slow. sure I don't want a creature of the week show or the same villains as other shows but in the 3 episodes I watched they barely did anything spider related. Like 1 time. If you take 3 episodes to build to nothing then your taking to long. They had a crime boss but made it obvious they weren't going to put them in jail or kill them. Everything was going to be drawn out pointlessly. The gimmick of the 2 styles wore off after a single episode.
Like most viewers I'm not going to miss it.

Prime is run by idiots. This was a good show very good cast great writing my favorite part that it was kind of like early Superman, where most of Peter Parker stuff takes place in the 80s 90s and current this takes you back to a time period before phones and cameras and all that other trash got this wrong

This was terrible... slow and boring for a "spider" series.

The show was ok, not the best......
But, we all know that ! Nicolas Cage is to old to play the sprider?
If the series was to continue, how much makeup would to take, to make him look young. what! use a sorry A.I. version of him? that would be a joke.
Look Nicolas Cage is a good actor no question, but when father time catches up with you, it time to hang it up... or fine some that right for your age.

Nicky didnt want to play the lead role anymore. So the show is dust.

This show was great. Nock cage really made it work. And he already played the character in beyond the spider verse movie.. Prime keeps the excrement "rings of power " and axes this?.. the best quality streaming is on Apple TV by far because they keep good shows on. Imagine anyone else doing a dark show like silo? . Only apple dies that ..and for the moderator. Bering sea gold lasted 19 seasons. It is cancelled now evidently. No longer filmed. It deserves a mention.

This was actually a good show.
Watched the B&W version. Very well done with cinematography.
Acting was probably the best in the last 10 years from Nicolas Cage.
Sorry to see it get cancelled. But this is far from the norm these days. Cheap reality shows are easier than a scripted show for the networks

Apparently Prime cancels anything that's actually good. What is this? Netflix?
