No Season 3 for the western saga.
September 10, 2026
It is being reported by Deadline that Netflix has cancelled Ransom Canyon after two seasons. The news comes less than two months after the western drama released its 8-episode sophomore run.
The series follows three ranching family dynasties that are locked in a contest for control of Texas Hill Country land. Their lives and legacies are being threatened by outside forces intent on destroying their way of life. Staten Kirkland is a stoic rancher who is healing from heartbreaking loss and on a quest for vengeance. His only glimmer of hope rests in the eyes and heart of Quinn O'Grady, longtime family friend and owner of the local dancehall. As the battle to save Ransom wages on, a mysterious cowboy appears in town, dredging up secrets from the past.

Second 2 was nowhere as good as Season 1. It was more about who one was sleeping with whom then about the ranches.

No surprise here there's just not enough of a storyline that's gonna take multiple seasons on for years to wrap up like other successful shows.

After The Waterfront got cancelled last year I gave up on giving any new Netflix shows a chance. It’s not just Netflix that are a problem it’s all over. Netflix will never release the reason to cancelling any of there shows but my bets are on it now doing so well globally. It’s all about numbers. Not bothered about the actors.
