No Season 2 for the action comedy.
September 19, 2026
It is being reported by Deadline that Prime Video has cancelled Ride or Die after one season. Coming two months after the action comedy's release, the news is somewhat surprising considering it performed well for the streamer and garnered praise from critics and viewers.
The series follows best friends Debbie Claybourne and Judith Burton, who thought they knew everything about each other - except that Debbie had no idea Judith is an international assassin. When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith's past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down, forcing them to go on the run together. It's a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and some very dangerous criminals on their heels.

Why, why, WHY??? This was a fantastic show! I hope another network picks it up.

Too bad, I loved this show. I think it wasn't the ratings, but the expensive, gorgeous, European locations, had something to do with the cancellations. Amazon's greediness on full display here. Commercials every 10 minutes, for a pay service? Extra for commercial free? That in itself, almost made me cancel. Now, with this cancellation, I might consider it again. Well, since I enjoyed the series so much, I might encore the 1st season again.

I Loved this show and was looking forward to at least a couple of seasons. Very disappointing

It would've been cooler if Octavia Spencer was the assassin.

I'm surprised it got cancelled because it performed very well at the time. But, wasn't it a limited series?

Thank god Jason liked it... saved us all from a second season..
... which would ultimately be poorly written and stretched to make the story, which was complete, extend past the point it needed to.

So, given the choice, I guess they chose "die.

No surprise here how can you expect a story like this to continue over multiple seasons on for years to bring it to an end. Probably something for a movie would have been better

Of course it was cancelled, since it was a show I enjoyed.
