Netflix has provided a small update on the second season of The Watcher, noting that production is slated to begin this fall in New York. It has been nearly four years since the drama received its renewal. Originally billed as a limited series, the show found success that compelled the streaming giant to change its plans.

Stars Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, Margo Martindale, and Isabel Gravitt are set to return and reprise their respective roles of Nora Brannock, Dean Brannock, Maureen ("Mo"), and Ellie Brannock.

Inspired by the true story of the 'Watcher' house in New Jersey, the series follows the Brannock family, who after moving into their dream suburban home begin receiving ominous letters from somebody calling themself 'The Watcher,' leading to the neighborhood's sinister secrets coming to light.
