In each episode of Crash Course, five teams of two take on the "ultimate driving course" with one person behind the wheel and the other giving directions as they navigate a perilous race course filled with obstacles such as flaming ramps.

The contestants are all in a pre-existing relationship and come from various walks of life. During the competition, not only are the teams' navigation skills put to the test, but their teamwork is also a crucial piece to crossing the finish line.

Throughout the contest, teams are eliminated one by one as they face several challenges before heading into the final Crash Course, which is the ultimate driving test for a chance to win the prize of $50,000.
