Named after the bridge that separates the wealthy Toronto neighborhood of Rosedale from the downtrodden St. James Town, The Bridge follows the head of the Toronto police union on a mission to clean up corruption in the force.
The series premiered on Canadian television station CTV on March 5, 2010. It was later picked up by CBS and debuted on July 10, 2010 only to be canceled after three episodes.
While the series was slated to return for a second season on CTV, show star Aaron Douglas sent a Twitter message on January 13, 2011 stating, "The Bridge is officially dead."
