A comedy following a dysfunctional family living in the White House.

The Gilchrists are a typical American family with everyday issues one would expect. They're loving, fun, and a little crazy. But there is one exception... they are the First Family and live in The White House. And there's never a dull moment!

I love this show and can't wait to see what happens. It has drawn me in and it makes me laugh. I love the family drama. It reminds me of how I think families should be. Supportive of each other even when some of us are total screw ups.

One of the funniest shows on TV. It is filled with subtle, hilarious moments.

I've watched the show several times and at first was slightly apprehensive but it has grown on me. Whilst the character roles are completely unrealistic and out of hand, it brings a new aspect of family humor no other show has captured. being from a large family myself, I understand some of the trials they face and I have a sister like Skip, and he plays his character wonderfully. Becca's romance with DB and the conflict with marshall brings a romantic side to the show, widening the audience and making it more appealing. The show is light and is meant to lighten the spirits of families, and if you are not from a large family or lack an understanding of how, while exaggerated, these things do happen this is not the show for you. But watch it with your family and you will find yourself enjoying the characters more than the show, though i enjoy it greatly.

I try to like this show, but Skip is the dumbest character on tv at the moment. Get rid of him and i'd be more inclined to watch another season.

Anybody that can sit thru an episode of this crap and not put his/her foot thru the TV has to have had a lobotomy! All of the fine scripted dramas being cancelled after 2 or 3 episodes and they leave this pile of feces on the air. Its unbelievable. I knew that Mr Average American was a deluded, self absorbed, brainwashed, consumer tool of the corporations but the comments from the idiots praising this show show that there is NO HOPE for America.

My wife and I love this show and were just discussing how its one of the few shows on TV today that has the proper mix of intelligent writing while being laugh out loud funny at least a few times an episode. I found this site by searching for the status of the show for next year bc I had a feeling it would be in danger of cancellation since NBC won't let any decent shows have a fair shot at building an audience. Instead they are constantly looking for the next Seinfeld and Friends Must See TV lineup and if the show isn't an automatic ratings ruler in year 1 they dump it. They need to be reminded that those old blockbuster shows were not the immediate talk of the town either and they developed their huge followings. Give 1600 Penn a chance, honestly what does NBC have to lose.

After tonights episode (28 Mar 13) I will never watch the show again. It is another show that felt the need to cross the line giving birth to the demon child.

I'm 58, I only read non fiction books, and I like the show. The premise is excellent and I love parody. I think the jokes and characters are entertaining, please don't cancel it. It's one of the few show I look for each week.
