A comedy following a family who move to a gated community and discover their neighbors are aliens.
The Weavers are a typical New Jersey family who move to a gated community and discover that their new neighbors are aliens who have taken human form and named themselves after famous sports figures in an effort to fit in.
The Weavers try to make sense of the weird new neighbors, and find out that the entire Hidden Hills community is made up of aliens from the planet Zabvron, none of whom have ever lived among humans.

Love this show!! So funny. "It appears our little Dick has exposed himself again"...classic!! I will miss 666 Park Avenue, by the way.

I am shocked that this show has not been cancelled. I guess putting a turd between two great shows (the Middle and Modern Family) and it will get rating that will keep the show on. I watched the first episode and based off of that, I felt that there was nothing funny about it and did not watch it again. I thought by week three it would be cancelled. My shock it has gone way past that.

I expected this show to be stupid when I first heard about it, but I watched it and it's one of the funniest shows I've seen. I hope it stays on for a long run

Is this show cancelled? If not, I am shocked. I gave it a chance on the first episode, eh! The second, i didn't get through 10 minutes before I turned it off. Maybe the 1st episode left a foul taste in my mouth. Basically MOST of the sitcoms now, i simply find very unfunny. I see "Last Man Standing" will have it's season premiere next Fri (Nov 2). There is a show I found super annoying, incredible dumb.
I just don't understand the schedule of season premieres anymore, especially ABC. Some will premiere mid Sept, then you have a schedule mix up and posting second chance shows in Nov?? I think this network has to work around it's top ranked shows 2 nights of the insipid Dancing with the Stars, then The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.
Modern Family is solid, The Middle is OK. Age can play a factor in sitcoms, always been the case for years. "Brick" looks like hes hitting puberty, deeper voice this season..once any kid star loses that "cuteness" factor. Ratings do drop.
Back to The Neighbors. Eh, just get rid of it. The plot, the jokes are recycled scrap. "European" said it best..it's a new brand of "3rd Rock From the Sun"

I totally did not expect this show to be funny, but it is. Agreed, some jokes are seen-a-million-times-before. But there is a something catchy about the show that makes you wanna see it again. There is alot of stuff inspired from 3rd Rock From The Sun, but let's forgive them this for the first episode. They have to start somewhere. The jokes about the Pupar, the tennis heroes names, I like it. Even the freaky kid with the long hair, Dick Buttkus. Let's see where this show is headed.

This show is hilarious. Subtle. It does what great SF does for us - Allows us to look at ourselves and our society norms through a distant lens. Bravo! I hope it is given enough time to catch-on!
