Mike Holmes hosts this reality competition where nine deserving couples renovate eight homes in eight weeks. They work along Mike and his crew, with home improvement and real estate experts inspecting their work.

Each week one couple is eliminated, but just when they think they're going home empty handed, they find out that they are actually the families they were building the homes for.

The couple remaining at the end will win the grand prize of a brand new dream home.
