A drama following the true top secret UFO investigations conducted by the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1969.
Dr. J. Allen Hynek is a brilliant college professor who is recruited by the U.S. Air Force in 1952 to lead a clandestine operation that researches cases of UFO-related phenomena. Together with Air Force Captain Ed Ruppelt, the two face the prospect that Earth may be being visited and that they could be pawns in a nationwide disinformation operation.

Sad to see that the show was cancelled. I enjoyed the spin the Air force put on the sightings. I remember all the findings of "swamp gas" and see Venus when UFOs were reported. Also the public push to discredit sighting. Never believed every sighting was a misidentification of a known object. Even pilots reported them until it started hurting their careers.
Hope the History Channel changes its mind and renews the series.
