Justin is a recently divorced gay man who takes his biracial daughter, who he gave up for adoption, to the lake where he spent his summers as a boy to get some quality time together.

But Justin's obsession with wresting control of the family's cottage back from his stepsister ends up pushing them further apart. Now it will take a lot of growing up from everyone to learn how they fit into a family.
