A drama about the ascent of the biblical figure, David, who becomes the celebrated king of Israel.
The once-mighty King Saul has fallen victim to his own pride. At the direction of God, the prophet Samuel anoints an unlikely, outcast teenager as the new king. With Saul's power over his kingdom lost, David begins a journey to discover and fulfill his destiny, navigating love, loss, and violence in the court of the very man he's destined to replace. Great show good character actors. I just finished watching the last season. Hopefully it gets renew it for a second season. We’ve seen the story of David from the Old Testament Bible on TV before but what I like about this one is it may not be exactly from the book of Kings. There’s a little spin on it, but the actors are top quality actors, and the storyline is very similar to the Bible. The little changes add that debt to it out of all the David movies before the cast is incredible. great show I hope it continues for another season actually eight episodes isn’t enough, but who am I ? To say that 10 episodes 12 episodes would be perfect. This season fell too short.

This is the Christian version of Game of thrones. The first 3 episodes are excellent! I’m a huge critic of feel good Christian films or shows but this has the feel of a top tier show. Can’t wait for more episodes!
